Last week I woke up to the coolest email. Back in June, I had submitted an image to the Click Magazine 2017 Voice Collection. It is an annual photography competition thats purpose is to “recognize and celebrate images that encapsulate powerful vision, originality, inspiration, creativity and overall excellence.”
They received over 45,000 entries and selected 210 for different categories. My image was one of the 15 selected in the category of Movement. I have never submitted my work to anything before so for me, just submitting was a huge jump out of my comfort zone. But to have one of my images selected as a finalist was a huge honor. I am still in a little bit of shock. I wasn’t selected as the winner but to be a finalist is huge. This summer I spent time exploring my photography in a more creative, out of the box way. I spent time shooting my own personal photography projects and have found that it really did enhance my photography as a whole. I started shooting macro photography which is something I have found I just love to do. My favorite subjects are still my kids, of course.

There is so much amazing work and eye candy.
